First announcement
The Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics SB RAS, the MSU Faculty of Physics, the Russian New University and Irkutsk State University will be hosting Baikal Young Scientists’ International School on Fundamental Physics “Physical processes in space and near-Earth space” (BSFP-2024) in Irkutsk on September 1 – 7, 2024.
BSFP-2024 will be dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 75th year of Irkutsk academic science.
- Astrophysics and solar physics
- Physics of the Earth’s atmosphere, including near-Earth space
- Diagnostics of natural inhomogeneous media and mathematical modeling
BSFP-2024 will bring together young scientists, postgraduates, and undergraduates under the age of 39. Remote participation (poster presentation) and free publication of the conference proceedings are available for nonresident participants. There is no registration fee for all BSFP-2024 participants, accommodation is also free (number of beds is limited).

Starting from February 1, 2024: online registration of participants at bsfp.iszf.irk.ru
Until April 26, 2024,registration of participants, including their personal information and the topic of their report
Until May 31, 2024: submission of papers

September 1 – Arrival of participants
September 2-4 – Scientific meetings
September 5 – Visiting session (visirt to an observatory of ISTP SB RAS)
September 6 – Visiting session (Lake Baikal)
September 7 – Departure of participants
Participants can register, submit their papers and expert opinions through their personal accounts at the BSFP-2024 website. The conference proceedings guidelines are also presented at the BSFP-2024 website. All the papers should be supported by expert opinions. The BSFP-2024 proceedings, presented in Russian Science Citation Index, will be published by the beginning of the conference.
